Teachers may qualify for CETE time by attending “qualified” staff development sessions. CETE stands for Continuing Education Technology Experiences. CETE classes are designed to help teachers learn to effectively integrate technology into student centered classroom environments. These classes are taught based on the LoTi Framework.

Some examples of CETE qualifying sessions have been:

  • LoTi for Teachers 12 Hours Summer 2004
  • SEDL Active Learning with technology 18 Hours Summer 2004
  • SEDL Questioning Strategies 6 Hours Summer 2004
  • NBISD’s Floating to Success 27 Hours Summer 2004
  • Connected University on-line courses Varies Ongoing
  • Ruby Payne/Technology Study Groups 20 Hours In Planning Stage

CETE hours may be earned by either attending or conducting training. Other classes may be submitted for approval to Cyber Connection II Steering Committee to qualify for CETE hours. Simply submit course description, with time requirements and sign in sheets to the grant coordinators.
