How do I set up my voice mail for the first time?
  • Lift the handset.
  • Press the button marked "Voice Mail" usually located at the top far right corner of the clear keys. You can also dial 6999 to get to the voice mail program.
  • When voice mail answers, you will be asked a series of YES or NO questions (1 for Yes and 2 for No) that will walk you through personalizing your voice mail box. Be ready to record your name, spell your name, record your greeting, and set your security code.
  • MAKE SURE TO CONFIRM YOUR SETTINGS BY PRESSING 1 AT THE END OF THE TUTORIAL!

How do I change a greeting that has already been recorded?

  • Lift the handset.
  • Press the button marked "Voice Mail" usually located at the top far right corner of the clear keys. You can also dial 6999 to get to the voice mail program.
  • Enter your security code if you have one assigned.
  • When voice mail answers choose 7 for "Set Up Options".
  • Next, choose 4 for "Change your Greeting".
  • The system will play your current greeting and finish by asking if you want to re-record. Press 1 for yes or 2 for no.
  • Follow the instructions from that point to change your greeting.

How do I change my password?

  • Lift the handset.
  • Press the button marked "Voice Mail" usually located at the top far right corner of the clear keys. You can also dial 6999 to get to the voice mail program.
  • Enter your security code if you have one assigned.
  • When voice mail answers choose 7 for "Set Up Options".
  • Next, choose 7 for "Personal Options".
  • Next, choose 4 to "Change your Password"
  • Following the instructions from that point.

Quick tips while listening to messages:

  • Pressing 4 while the voice mail systems says "Remember, for the main menu......" will skip all that and go straight to your new messages.
  • Once the message playback begins, press:
  • 5 - to change the volume
  • 6 - to speed up playback speed
  • 7 - rewind up to 3 seconds
  • 8 - pauses the message, press 8 again to start playing the message
  • 9 - fast forward up to 3 seconds

When listening to a message you may press.....

  • 36 to delete
  • 37 to archive
  • 39 to redirect

Important things to remember.....

  • Archived messages will only remain in the system for 15 days, after that they are gone!
  • Be sure your name is spelled correctly for the directory (your last name!!!!).
  • NEW - means a message that has not been heard
  • OLD - means a message has been heard and will be deleted at midnight of the same day
  • ARCHIVE - is a message that has been heard and saved for 15 days
