The NBHS College & Career Center offers various types of career literature and career software


Choices is a career software program that includes a variety of career information
  • The Interest Profiler helps you find out what your interests are and how they relate to the world of work. It does this by asking you to answer questions that represent important interest areas. Your Interest Profiler scores will help identify your strongest work-related interests.

  • The Work Importance Locater can help you learn more about your work values and can help you decide what is important to you in a job. It does this by asking you to rate different aspects of work that represent six important work values

  • This checklist will help you to identify your Transferable Work Content Skills and then see occupations that use those skills. The skills are grouped into 25 clusters so you can consider a few skills at a time. After reviewing all of the skill clusters, you can see occupations that are related to each of your skills.

  • The Portfolio Planner helps organize information including building a resume.
  • Occupations Databases offer information about many different occupations

  • Post-Secondary Databases offer information about a variety of post-secondary schools.
  • Financial Aid Awards Database offers information about financial aid sources and a search for financial aid sources for which you might qualify.

  • Career Finder provides a career survey using your interests and skills and information about careers that closely match these interests and skills.

  • The Student Planner offers general guidelines as well as a monthly calendar to assist you in planning for college.
  • The Career Planning Guide is an informative guide that helps you create plans for your future by using six separate learning modules.
  • The Daily Student News is an online newspaper with career and education-related articles

  • The College Database offers current career information.
  • The Scholarship and Financial Aid Database offers current financial aid information.
