Local Scholarship Instructions

A variety of scholarship and financial aid materials are available in the NBHS College & Career Center.

  • Current scholarship offerings are posted on the bulletin board so students can copy the information or students can request paper applications when available.
  • Current editions of Funding Your Education by the US Department of Education is available.
  • FAFSA applications are available

  • Choices program scholarship search.
  • Bridges program scholarship search.
  • Local Scholarship packets will be distributed in early February to graduating seniors. Students may come in to the College & Career Center at that time to review the requirements for each local scholarship. The deadline for returning all completed scholarship applications to Mrs. Crews in the College & Career Center is Friday, March 16th, 2007 by 3pm  NO EXCEPTIONS

    Texas B-On-Time Loan Program

    The purpose of the Texas B-On-Time Loan Program is to provide eligible Texas students

    no-interest loans to attend colleges and universities in Texas.  If the student meets specified goals, the entire loan amount can be forgiven upon graduation.  For more information go to: www.hhloans.com/borrowers/BOTFactSheet.cfm

    The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) represents 600,000 small-business members nationwide is offeering scholarships to young entrepreneurs.  Please see Mrs. Crews in the Career Center for information on how to apply.  These Scholarships are worth $1000.00 each and there are 300 of them.
