Mile of Quarters

IT'S QUARTER TIME?

The N.B.H.S. Key Club, along with the newly chartered Cayon High School Key Club, competed in an event called "Mile of Quaters" in the spring of 2007 . Both schools tried to raise enough quaters that, when put end to end, would reach a mile in length. The winning school, which was Canyon with almost $5,000, got to keep 66% of everything collected. The New Braunfels Key Club raised close to $2,500 and got to keep about $1,100. The rest was distibuted to the local Builders Club and Kiwanis, and to other charities.
